What’s it all about?
Imagine you are stranded on an unknown island; there is no electricity, no tools, what would you do? If you can do finger knitting, then you can make your own clothes and you will not get cold! You can learn to make cool, simple accessories like scarves, headbands and necklaces, with this simple knitting technique that only takes minutes. Simple, useful and pretty.
What will we cover?
In this course, we will get to know The Man Who Knits from Bandung, Indonesia. We will also learn one of his many knitting skills: Yubiyami or finger knitting, a knitting method using your fingers and yarn. You don’t need any needles or any other tools, just your hands, your favourite yarn and a bit of patience!
Once you’ve mastered this technique you’ll be able to make awesome accessories in no time.
Who will be teaching?
Erri Nugraha comes from Indonesia and is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. He begun to learn more about knitting while illustrating a knitting tutorial for a book and soon was knitting everything from blankets to toys for his son.
