Text version of Cleaning Jewellery the Green Way!

1. Bowl or glass baking dish, salt, sodium bicarbonate, aluminium foil, dirty jewellery.
2. Line bowl with aluminium foil, shiny side up. Pour one cup of boiling water, one teaspoon of salt and one of sodium bicarbonate.
3. Put your jewellery into the bowl (make sure that it’s in a single layer – all items in contact with foil) and covered with water.
4. Leave for a couple of minutes, rinse in cold water water (be careful: remember the water was boiling!). Pat dry with an old cloth.
5. Get your sunglasses out!
