Screens are often where things blow up at home: social media, gaming, group chats, late nights, constant scrolling. Underneath that, there’s often stress, comparison, mood swings, or a teen who just doesn’t want to talk.

If you’ve ever wondered, “How do I raise this without it blowing up?” or “Why does every conversation seem to go nowhere?” this session will give you practical tools for talking with your teen and a clearer way forward.

We’ll look at what teens are navigating in their digital world, why some conversations go off track, and how to talk in a way that keeps connection intact. This isn’t about quick fixes or dramatic changes. It’s about understanding what’s really going on with your teen and learning how to respond in ways that actually work.

This session is all about practical skills, honest talk and no judgement. You’ll leave with clearer insight, along with strategies and language you can use straight away.

What will we cover?

• Social media & digital life. What parents really need to know (without panicking).

• Why some conversations with teens fail, and how to avoid the common traps.

• Anxiety, mood swings & emotional shutdown. What to listen for (and how).

• Communication tools that make teens actually reply.

• Real Talk with Teens: myths vs reality. This is what teens are really trying to tell you.

What will I need?

• Nothing needed apart from something to take notes with.
• No prior knowledge needed
