What’s it all about?

The human body is a dynamic 3D canvas, and body painting is an art form that really captures the imagination. The magical combination of the artist’s skill and the model’s energy really bring body art to life! If you’ve ever wanted to have a go at body painting but didn’t know where to start, this class is for you.

What will we cover?

You don’t have to be an amazing artist to be able to body paint. In this hands-on workshop we will cover the absolute basics – a rundown of the kit and tools, safety and hygiene practices, how to activate the paint and load your brush, basic brush and sponge techniques, and how to layer your design.

Please note: You will be practising your new skills on yourself and other class members, so please be prepared to bare an arm, a leg or other appropriate area of skin to get painted. Make sure you wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on, or bring an apron if you simply must wear your Armani suit. We use the highest quality safety-tested non-toxic cosmetic-grade body make-up, but cannot guarantee against allergic reactions in a small percentage of people. Participate at your own risk.

Who will be teaching?

Susanne Daoud is the director and founder of Susanne DaoudJuicy Body Art – a Melbourne-based entertainment company that runs hens’ nights, team building events and parties where guests are brought closer together through the joy of body art. Susanne has been teaching and painting people for over a decade and firmly believes that anyone can body paint! She prides herself on her friendly, down-to-earth approach to art, and loves to bring people together through collaboration and laughter.
