Over two classes, come and make your own silver ring – using nature to imprint beautiful markings into your unique design!

In these two-part workshop you will use nature to create unique etchings to produce your hand made piece of jewellery!

In the first session you will learn the technique of Lost Wax Casting. This involves taking a wax cast, resizing it to fit you perfectly and then using leaves, flowers and twigs to press unique designs into the wax cast.

Your teacher will take your wax cast off and it will come back as a beautiful piece of silver.

In the second session you will then finish off your ring by filing and polishing it.

You can make a delicate, fine silver ring or a thick chunky one.

What will we cover?

Within this workshop you will learn:

  • What is lost wax casting
  • How to use the tools and waxes
  • How to utilise flowers, leaves and twigs to make beautiful designs
  • The dos and don’ts of casting
  • What materials can be cast
  • The basic fundamentals of how to make a wearable piece of jewellery.

Feel free to bring in flowers, leaves and twigs to use when creating your original piece of wearable art but there will also be lots available to you within the workshop.

Important Info

The price of silver is NOT included, because it will vary depending on the size of the jewellery (and the number of items) you make.
