What’s it all about?

Collage traditionally uses paper and scissors to make a piece of art. But let’s take this further and use all sorts of ‘stuff’ such as found objects, fabric, ink, photocopies, newspapers, and just about anything that can be stuck down with a glue stick to create fabulous and original art! This can be a springboard for a major work or a one-off authentic creation made by you, and it’s lots of fun!

What will we cover?

During the class we will cover:

  • The traditional art form of collage.
  • A few of its chief exponents, Matisse in particular.
  • Some useful techniques.
  • How we can use collage as the basis for further art such as painting and sculpture.

Who will be teaching?

Jennifer MorlangJenni Morlang has been making art since she was 11 years old, with some successes and many failures. She can’t live without creating! Art brings to challenges and excitement to her life and it forces her to learn new skills. Jenni has previously taught creative skills and thinking at Laneway Learning.
