Compost! If you’ve ever watched Gardening
Australia then you’ve heard this endearing exclamation from long-term
former-host Peter Cundall. Yes, compost can evoke this much enthusiasm
and excitement from gardeners! But what if you’re just starting out?

Compost
adds so many nutrients to our soil, but no one wants a stinky bin of
rotting food scraps on their kitchen bench or a dormant pile of leaves
filling up their compost bin.

So come and join Simone to get all the
tips to get the most out of composting. Hint: rotting is not the same as
compost!

You’ll be shouting COMPOST! enthusiastically in no time.

What will we cover?

  • What is compost
  • Why we should compost
  • Carbon and nitrogen components and ratios, and what good compost looks (and smells) like
