Come and learn how to make your own beautiful rug!

You’ll learn how to use fabric to create a series of Amish or toothbrush knots to create a super pretty circular rug.

You can use pretty new fabric or even upsycle scraps of fabric you have lying around your home!

Your wonderful teacher Val will have lots of pretty fabrics to choose from but you are also welcome to bring in your own.

What will we cover?

This class will cover:

. How to create an Amish knot
. Where to source and how to select suitable fabric
. Cutting and ripping fabric yarn
. Joining fabric strips
. How to start a round rug
. How to finish off your rug

Who will be teaching? 

Valerie (she/her) is a passionate crafter and rag rug maker. 

Her mission is to make use of fabric scraps and re-purpose fabric to avoid fabric going to landfill. 

Valerie uses a number of rag rug techniques including Amish knot and crochet.
