What will we cover?
Lorelei is world famous amongst her friends for making the most delicious dumplings around. The positive feedback once almost encouraged her to open a portable dumpling business. How’d she become such a pro? Family secret of course. But she’ll be unleashing the tricks of the trade for making the best dumplings around, whether you like them vegetarian, pork, or whatever is in the kitchen.
We’ll go through ingredient selection, construction, the cooking, what to do in case of a no-wrapper-on-hand emergency (Lorelei’s been known to roll out wrappers from scratch at 3:30 am in one particularly delicate case), and how to make the best dipping sauce to complement your amazing dumplings.
Plus of course, you’ll get to try a dumpling or 2.
Who will be teaching?
Lorelei Schmitt is a DIY extraordinaire, from dumpling making, to gardening and harvesting, to making dumplings with ingredients she has grown or harvested. And she is continually learning new skills to up her DIY profile. She thinks that constructing, cooking and eating homemade dumplings is one of the best ways to spend a lazy afternoon with friends.
