Would you love to know more about your families history, where they have come from and what their life was like!?

Join us for a workshop with Librarian Georgina who will give you guidance and tips on how to get started finding out about your own family history – you never know what you might uncover!

What will we cover?

This class you will explore:

– How to set up your ancestry.com account 

– How to start researching

– Common research pitfalls

– Connecting with other researchers

– How to share your findings with family members. 

– Some other online resources to explore to expand your research

– How to access Ancestery.com for free through you local library

Who will be teaching? 

Georgina (she/her) is a qualified librarian with 10 years experience in public and University libraries. 

She has been researching her family history in her free time for 20 years with so many intriguing characters and stories still to be uncovered!
