Ralph’s Feldenkrais practice uses easy and interesting movements help you discover your own grace, ease and power. This includes techniques for ongoing self-maintenance and improvement – techniques you can use in your everyday to give yourself support.
This class suits both beginners and continuing students, all ages and all levels of ability.
What will we cover?
Learn intriguing and enjoyable Feldenkrais movement exercises to improve hip mobility and freedom. The exercises are pleasant and relaxing yet powerful in their effect. You can continue the exercises at home for ongoing maintenance of healthy hand function, to keep your hands happy!
In this floor-based class you will:
- Learn the functional anatomy of the hip joints and pelvis
- Be introduced to the Feldenkrais Method® of movement learning
- Experience ways to enjoyably exercise, clarify, strengthen and relax around the hips and pelvis
- Learn to coordinate actions of the legs with the pelvis, abdomen, lower back and breath.
- Improve your coordination, control and comfort and overall confidence and wellbeing.

Who will be teaching?
Ralph Hadden (he/him) as founder and director of the Melbourne School of Tactile Therapies, pioneered massage therapist education in Australia from the 1970s to the 1990s. Ralph is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner, practising in Melbourne. He is one of Australia’s most experienced Feldenkraisers, having been teaching since 1988.
He offers his own workshops, weekly classes and individual sessions, helping his clients recover from injury, build health and relaxation and improve performance at work and play. He has presented for many organisations including CAE, Arthritis Foundation, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Gawler Foundation and RMIT.
