Using a range of practical writing tasks, we will brainstorm together to discover your playwriting voice and find out what your play (whether half-written or a distant dream) is actually about. Who will be teaching?
Bethany Simons is a Green Room Award nominated writer and performer based in Melbourne. Born and raised in regional NSW, Bethany is a graduate of BA (Acting for Screen and Stage – Honours) at Charles Sturt University. Her one-act play The Weather and Your Health was selected for the 2012 VCE Drama Playlist, has toured extensively throughout Australia and received the RAVE touring award for outstanding contribution to arts and culture.
Along with her work as a performer, producer, Master of Ceremonies and voice over artist, Bethany is also a columnist and feature writer for Aussie Theatre. Bethany believes that nothing is funnier or more beautiful than real life and true stories.
