What’s it all about?
Ever wanted to make your own jam but not sure how? Do you have a glut of zucchinis or lemons in the garden and would like to make something with them?
Well now is your chance! You will leave this class with all the knowledge you need to make your own, as well as a jar that we made earlier.
What will we cover?
This workshop will show you the basics of preserving, including preparation, jar sterilisation, setting points and bottling of chutneys and jams.
We will work through the process step by step and all participants will receive instructions, recipes and a jar of delicious preserves to take home.
Who will be teaching?
Cate Lawrence is from Green Renters a small not for profit educating people on how to make their rental homes more sustainable. When not making jam, Cate enjoys brewing ginger beer, reading crime fiction and playing with the cat.
