Learn how to make beautiful clover flowers that never die! In this class we’ll learn the Japanese art of fabric floral embellishment that can be used for jewellery, home decoration, fashion and much more.

We’ll all go home with a flower of our own and skills to make many more. 

What we will cover?

  • An introduction of application of fabric flowers in haute couture and home decoration.
  • Demonstration of special fabric treatment with resin glue. 
  • Fabric petal shaping and twisting technique. 
  • Petal final assembling.
  • Care and treatment for long-lasting flowers.
  • Further design ideas using the flower making technique

Who will be teaching?

Vivian Qiu is a sentimental jewellery designer. She holds a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Fashion Design in RMIT. Her jewellery practice focuses on reflective designing based on emotions, stories, and memories. She explores a variety of non-traditional materials in her practice, including rice fabric created by herself, recycled electrical wires, treated fabric and so on.

She has been running creative hands-on workshops since 2015. She has worked with Signal, City of Melbourne, Geelong Wool Museum, and Immigration Museum.  You can follow her on Instagram.
