What’s it all about?
Need to know your clove hitch from your bow line? A sheep shank from a sheet bend? Or even just a reef knot from a granny knot?
Whether you find the load falling off the back of your ute due to your dodgy knot tying or are secretly (or not so secretly) into bondage, we’ll help you tighten up your skills and tie up the loose ends in your knotting knowledge.
What will we cover?
We will discuss the different types of knots before learning how to tie and use some of the most common ones. We’ll then test our new skills in a silly game and before the class is up you might even find out that you’ve been tying your shoes wrong all this time!
Who will be teaching?
Lucie Bradley is a chemistry PhD student by day and a Jill-of-all-trades by night. She has spent many-a-day tying knots for bivouacs, make-shift stoves and stupid games and is looking to share the knot-tying love. Lucie is also one of the Laneway Learning Team.
