Join us for an engaging class as we explore the essential theories of adult learning! Whether you’re an educator yourself, a lifelong learner, a parent, or perhaps in a management role, understanding how adults learn and process new information offers us tools to help ourselves and those around us.
We will explore key concepts such as Cognitive Load Theory, Knowles’ Principles of Adult Learning, and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, while presenting practical strategies for minimizing cognitive overload, promoting self-directed learning, and implementing simulation experiences that effectively engage adult learners.
