What’s it all about?
Weaving on a loom is a rewarding craft that’s worth a try. Those beautiful textured wall hangings are everywhere these days, but how amazing is it to hang one on your wall and say “I made it myself!” No matter what your style, you will learn the essential techniques to be able to create your masterpiece. You’ll have access to the fibres and tools to create something unique and weave, knot and tassel your way to success.
What will we cover?
Weaving isn’t just about threading over and under! There are a few handy tricks to creating interesting textures and patterns along the way. You’ll discover how to set up your loom ready to begin, create the tassels that hang at the bottom, and learn some special loops and knots, before learning how to finish off your masterpiece and remove it from the loom ready for hanging.
Who will be teaching?
Sara Guggenbuhl of Green Pop is passionate about helping others learn new crafts and have a go at something they’ve always wanted to try. Not only a qualified Interior Architect and Designer, Sara also has 13 years’ experience teaching beginners how express their crafty and creative side and understands it’s not always easy when you’re learning how to DIY.
