Modern weaving is quite trendy right now! It uses traditional techniques such as soumak weaving and lots of different fibres to create stunning art pieces with volume and texture.
Soumak is easy, builds quite fast and you can finish large projects in no time. Roving wool weaving is similar but uses unprocessed yarns and larger fibres.
In this class we’ll learn both techniques as well as how to make tassels and go home with our lovely handmade wall art.
What will we cover?
We’ll be learning:
-
Soumak weaving
-

This class does not include a loom to take home. If you’d like to take home a loom, please book for loom weaving 101 as well.
