What’s it all about?

Do you have cats or live in a small apartment? Maybe you are from the northern hemisphere and wonder how that pine will last in the heat? Well, why not have a flat hanging Christmas tree this year! Join us and learn the basics of wonderful macrame while making your own beautiful tree hanger for home. All materials provided.

Macramé, or the art of knotting, is fun, relaxing, doesn’t need specific tools and is a very useful craft. You can make planters, curtains, bags or Christmas decorations.

What will we cover?

  • How to read a macrame pattern
  • Materials that you can use (all materials will be provided for this class)
  • Once we have our yarn ready, we’ll learn the basic macrame knots to make our pattern:
    • Larks head
    • Square knot
    • Double hitch knot
    • Finishing touches
