What’s it all about?

Modular origami involves folding multiple pieces of simple patters and using them to form complicated geometrical shapes. Usually the assembling is done without the use of any cuts or glue, by simply sliding pieces together you can create some truly amazing designs using nothing more than s few sheets of paper.

What will we cover?

In this class you will learn 2 different styles of modular origami: The “Sonobu” and the “Kasudama” Two different approaches to making two different kinds of origami that can be scaled from simple to complex depending on your own design. Then as a group we will make one final model so we can learn how the assembly of a modular model is done.

Who will be teaching?

JennyJenny is a gift shop owner who has been creating her own pieces of jewellery for the past 5-odd years with paper being one of her favourite mediums to work with. Apart from jewellery making, she also has a background in interior design, merchandising and origami.
