What’s it all about?

Do you love music and wish you could play or sing but have no idea where to start? Come along to our fun, hands-on introduction to making music the easy way. This introductory session is for people who have never played music before or have tried, failed and/or given up!

We will learn some secrets of creating music, getting in “the zone” and some basic tips on how to make music with others in a beginners music jam.

What will we cover?

We will look at the reasons why people don’t make music and how they can learn, even if they are tone deaf, rhythmically challenged, have no training, no natural talent, no one to play with or have no idea! We will then do some basic exploration of rhythm, pitch and tone, followed by an all-in musical jam.

*If you can please bring something that makes a sound: an instrument, a pot, a bottle, a shaker! (Some instruments will be available.)
