What’s it all about?
Improvisation is more than just Whose Line is it Anyway? and quick gags.
We are all natural tellers but do you feel like your ramble on? Want to feel more confident in your ability to invent bedtime stories for those demanding children in your life? Or when inventing excuses for your boss?
What will we cover?
Experienced performers are trained to tell stories and this class will start you off with some of the basic exercises and building blocks that we use to create something out of nothing.
This is a friendly, practical class with lots of opportunity to participate in pairs and as a group but rest assured there is no danger of being put on the spot alone in front of the class.
Get a little taste of improvisation without the pressure to be funny!
Who will be teaching?
Anna has been performing and teaching improvisation in Melbourne and beyond for over ten years. She has honed her skills on discerning audiences including her niece and nephew who are now 11 & 14 and frequently demanded silly stories at bedtime and on car trips. She loves stories so much she skips long passages of description in any novel she reads to get to the plot point. You can follow Anna on Twitter @annarenz and through her webpage: www.annarenzenbrink.com.
