Designed for curious, caring creatures, this class will explore the artform’s potential for profound intimacy, connection and trust building.
We will learn the important foundations of safety and rope-craft before learning some basic yet effective techniques for empowering your inner rope-top.
The lesson structure is designed so that no previous experience is required.

– The history of this beautiful art form

Who will be teaching?
This workshop is facilitated by local shibari artists Ash Snare – a specialist in the science of rope physics and the intimate connective nature of shibari, and Harley Ōkami – an anatomy specialist, with a unique and deep understanding of the shibari model’s journey.
This dynamic duo’s combined experience of almost 20 years is waiting to support you on your journey into this exotic and expansive practice.
