Need a refreshing and revitalising circuit breaker? A way to feel present in your body, with a boost for the mind and mood? Laughter yoga, or laughter movement, might be right up your alley!

Laughter gives us a big dose of endorphins and dopamines – the hormones and chemicals that helps us feel good. And laughter is something we can actually generate ourselves. Yes, it will absolutely feel a little bit awkward when you first try to ‘make’ yourself laugh, but it really is contagious and real laughter will follow.

Joshinder’s class also utilises movement as a tool to free up our bodies. Our laughter does some of the work towards shedding inhibitions, and our movements can help this along.

So come along and try a fun, hands-on class suitable for anyone interested in exploring their wellbeing and shedding some inhibition.

What will we cover?

In this class we will:

  • Explore the 7 stages of laughter – from absolute minimal to hysterical

  • Introduce movement, as a container to hold the laughter

  • Learn how memories and emotions are stored in the body and the importance of releasing them

  • Play with choreography and different laughter levels, to explore ourselves

  • End with a discussion session

This is a total beginners class, suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
