What’s it all about?

Urban sketching is an exciting art form that is about creating personal artworks on location in cities, towns and villages that you live in or travel to. Whether you came to our first class or not, you can join us for a follow up class with more sketching tips and tricks to bring your sketches to the next level!

What we will cover?

We’ll start this sketching workshop with a brief to what urban sketching is about and some more advanced tips. We will hear about some of the teacher’s personal experiences with it, as well as examples, resources and communities for this exciting field.

After that we will get into the exciting part – creating our very own urban sketches in the Preston Market! We will roam around the market sketching the vibrant stalls and then we will all share our drawings and get feedback to keep improving.

Please bring some images of places that you would like to draw, perhaps a holiday photo, your house or your favourite Melbourne landmark.
