See What You’re Really Seeing…
Meta Filters, Ego, and the Stories Running Your Life.
Ever noticed how two people can experience the same conversation, the same workplace, or the same moment — and walk away with completely different interpretations?
That’s not coincidence.
That’s your meta filters at work — and your ego doing its job to protect you, often without your permission.
In this practical and eye-opening session, we’ll unpack how your internal filters shape what you notice, what you ignore, and the meaning you give to events — often driving reactions, conflict, stress, and self-sabotage without you realising it.
You’ll explore how ego quietly influences your behaviour, decision-making, leadership style, and relationships — not as the enemy, but as a mechanism that needs conscious awareness.
This session is grounded in real-world personal development, human behaviour, and concepts explored in my book Redefining Leadership, and is designed to help you move from automatic reaction to intentional choice.
What will we cover?
In this class, you’ll learn how to:
-
Recognise your own meta filters and how they distort or limit what you see
-
Understand the ego’s role in defensiveness, certainty, and emotional reactions
-
Reduce unnecessary conflict by changing how you interpret situations
-
Respond with clarity and emotional intelligence rather than impulse
-
Create greater self-awareness, flexibility, and control in everyday life and leadership
This isn’t theory for theory’s sake.
It’s about understanding the invisible drivers behind your behaviour — so you can stop being run by them and start leading yourself more consciously.
If you’ve ever wondered why certain people, comments, or situations get under your skin — this session will make it make sense.
What will you need?
All you will need to bring is any note taking materials you may like to use. An open and curious mind. A willingness to engage and explore new concepts.
