What’s it all about?
Have you always admired little tiny posies of flowers that almost look like they have been picked from your Nana’s garden?
Come along as we make one together and learn just how simple it can be.
What will we cover?
This class will look at how to select the appropriate flowers and foliage, along with colour selection for your posy, the preparation required for posies and some simply tricks.
Step-by-step we will build from a selection of flowers to form a small posy ideal for your home or the perfect little gift for a special someone. We will look at where the flowers came from as well as a little fact and fiction about the history of flowers. Once we have the posies underway we will learn about the art of presentation and gift wrapping.
Who will be teaching?
Casey is a freelance florist working in the inner city. She completed 2.5 years of study for her Certificate III in Floristry and after realising we should do more of what we love decided to follow her heart to flower arranging. She is a lover of bright colours, fragrance and beautiful flowers and foliages with admirable textures and forms, as well as being an advocate for DIY arts and crafts and recycling anything pretty.
