What’s it all about?
Don’t know prepositions from your propositions? Got your contractions and possessives muddled up? Do the terms phrasal verb, relative clause and present perfect continuous turn your face into a blank stare? If so, this grammar class will change your life! (Well, hopefully)
Many people lack a basic understanding of how English works, often because they think grammar is boring. However, a general understanding of how sentences work, and the vocabulary to describe those workings, is actually very useful for writing, reading and speaking, and it’s not as hard as you might think. Even if you are a “native speaker” of a language, and you use it every day, doesn’t mean you can actually describe that language. This class will fix this and help answer your burning questions!
What will we cover?
We will look at the jobs different words have in a sentence, and what sentences are actually made of. We will delve into the multitude of tenses (no, there’s not just past, present and future!). We will talk about conjunctions, contractions, clauses, adverbials, and clear up a few common mistakes/misunderstandings that people make.
