What’s it all about?
There is something special about homemade jam: the texture, the flavour, the smell… delicious! Learn how to make delicious, unique and bespoke jams from scratch using easily available ingredients from the market. Once you’ve got the basic recipe you will be able to concoct any sort of jam you dream of.
What will we cover?
Using fresh produce from the local farm markets such as oranges, strawberries, and pears you will learn the basic steps to produce jams and preserve them for a year or so.
You will also get to taste the jams made in class and receive some recipes to take home and practice and play with different flavours.
Who will be teaching?
Ami is a foodie with a sweet tooth; she started her career in sweet indulgences in 2006 by making chocolates and gradually specialised in liqueur chocolates. Baking has always been her fantasy and she went to London to learn, before returning back to India and launching a baking business: XTC Cakes, Your Next Sweet Addiction in August 2011. She currently makes cheesecakes, jams, homemade chocolates and cakes too….
