Come and explore the wonderful world of sculpting! Imakesculptures will guide you through an introduction to sculpting with air dry clay, supporting you to apply your new skills to sculpt a small torso of the human figure.

The human figure is all about curves! Whether you’re sculpting a human shape that is full figured or slight, the key to sculpting the body is in its curves.

At the end of the workshop you will walk away with new skills and a hand made sculptural artwork to adorn your home!

We will be sculpting from 2D and 3D images and examples, though not from live models. All bodies are celebrated and suitable to be sculpted!

All materials included in this workshop just come and have a wonderful time!

What will we cover?

In this fun, hands-on workshop you will learn:

  • Techniques to sculpt with air-dry clay
  • How to use different sculpting tools
  • An introduction to anatomy and the scale of the human body

What to bring?

Who will be teaching?

Imakesculptures (Irina – she/her) is primarily a sculptor, but engages in many
different art disciplines. She has never been in another profession, nor
wanted to! Born in a family of
artists, Irina fell in love with three-dimensional art at a very early age, which came very naturally to her, being surrounded by a community who valued and appreciated artistic expression.

Imakesculptures graduated from Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and has had the chance to work internationally and gain great
experience in different industries and media. Cooperating with
professionals from other creative fields has honed her skills and
broadened the views of her artistic expression.

Imakesculptures has a little
studio in Surry Hills to showcase, sell and teach her art. Always open for new
projects with fellow creatives, you can reach her here.
