What will we cover?
In this class learn about the 4 R model (rethink, reduce, reuse, recycle) to apply to all facets of daily life. Together we will create a vision of a totally achievable “sustainable” day in the life of your average Melbournian.
Underpinning this will be the key factors of waste reduction, transport, food and energy. All areas your small actions can make big change.
We will take a look at:
- Creative energy and water reduction strategies
- Food resilience and reducing food waste
- Sustainable transport
- Buying less stuff
- Making mindful entertainment choices – eating out, weekend activities
- Green cleaning, making your own skincare, DIY products and alternatives
- Tips on greenwashing, what it is and how to avoid it
- Fashion
- Highlighting where the excesses are in your life and using them as motivation to succeed, preparing and allowing for minor deviations from the path
We’ll send you off with recipes, resources, a reading list and the “where to next”.
