What’s it all about?
Who says yoga always has to be a solitary pursuit? Find yourself a partner (or come by yourself and make a new friend!), awaken your sense of play and get ready for a new experience on the mat.
What will we cover?
This introduction to partner yoga covers two parts. The first entails using each other as props in active poses, whereas the second involves guiding each other into relaxation. We’ll learning the benefits of each pose on the body and emotions and some of us might even end up with a deeper connection to each other.
This partner yoga class is suitable for beginners and you don’t have to come with somebody in order to take part. Although we’ll be working in pairs we won’t be getting too up close and personal!
If you have a yoga mat please bring it along, and if you don’t have a mat then a thick towel will do. Unfortunately, children below the age of 16 are not advised to attend this class.
Who will be teaching?
Stephanie Sta Maria is an internationally certified yoga teacher who recently brought her passion from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne. Apart from regular teaching gigs, she also designs specialty yoga programs and classes for those with special needs.
